Hotel Alitana Santorini
The “ALITANA” hotel is located in the village of Kamari, Santorini. In this hotel, I was instructed by the client to create low-cost spaces, as he also wanted to reach an audience with reduced purchasing power, but giving them a sufficient aesthetic effect.
For me it was another challenge, how I could give a perfect visual composition with simple and cheap materials. So I turned my thoughts to the compositions that almost all of us try to make, with materials that we find on the beaches and that have been washed away by the sea. So boards from fish boxes, ropes and shell fossils became my palette for creating the headboards of the furniture etc.

Το ξενοδοχείο “ΑLITANA ” βρίσκεται στο χωριό Καμάρι της Σαντορίνης. Στο ξενοδοχείο αυτό είχα την εντολή από τον πελάτη να δημιουργήσω χώρους χαμηλού κόστους καθώς και ο ίδιος ήθελε να προσεγγίσει κοινό με μειωμένη αγοραστική δυνατότητα, δίνοντας τους όμως ένα επαρκές αισθητικό αποτέλεσμα.
Για εμένα ήταν μία ακόμα πρόκληση, πως θα μπορούσα να δώσω μία άρτια εικαστική σύνθεση με απλά και φθηνά υλικά. Έτσι ανέτρεξα με τη σκέψη μου στις συνθέσεις που προσπαθούμε να κάνουμε όλοι σχεδόν, με υλικά που βρίσκουμε στις παραλίες και τα έχει ξεβράσει η θάλασσα. Έτσι οι σανίδες από κασέλες ψαριών, τα σχοινιά και τα απολυθώματα των οστράκων έγινε η παλέτα μου για τη δημιουργία των κεφαλαριών των επίπλων κά.
